A native of Maine, Scott Soper studied music at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York. A multi-instrumentalist, he has performed extensively on piano, organ, guitar, clarinet, saxophone, flute, oboe, recorder, euphonium, and tuba. Scott spent several years teaching in public and parochial schools in New England before becoming a full-time pastoral musician in 1987 and later settling in Indianapolis. He has served as music director at parishes throughout New England and the Midwest, has been a team member with the North American Forum on the Catechumenate, and was elected to two terms on the NPM Council.
