Tony Barr is a ‘first-generation’ Vatican 2 composer from the UK, who majored in Theology and is currently studying Astrophysics.  He studied text writing under the influence of Dutch liturgical Poet, Huub Oosterhuis, while researching form and content of liturgical composition with pioneer Bernard Huijbers.  An ‘undocumented student of Bill Tamblyn, he has produced an extensive catalogue containing ‘the music of (and not for) worship’; and as an indie continues to produce professional recordings of his music.  As a retired college lecturer in liturgical music and parish director of music and liturgy, his work both at home and internationally has become legendary.
