The hymn text Ubi Caritas appears in The Roman Missal as the chant for the presentation of the gifts during the Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday. One translation of the refrain is “Where charity and love are found, God is there.” The verses pray that we who have been gathered by Christ will set aside divisions and be united in our joy, a prayer that finds a home in many other celebrations.
