We welcome Dave Sanders to the WLP psalm series with this joyful rendering of Psalm 118. You may remember the Sanders name from numerous arrangements he completed for the WLP handbell series. In "This Is the Day," he employs a tune from the late Renaissance for the refrain melody and adds a second harmony part for men. The newly composed verses feature logical stepwise motion and comfortable leaps of fourths and fifths for the cantor or unison choir. In addition, this text setting utilizes the newly Revised Grail Psalms edition.
