Instrumental Meditations & Flourishes University of Notre Dame Handbell Choir; Karen Schneider Kirner, director For over a decade, the University of Notre Dame Handbell Choir has been enhancing the music of liturgies in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The choir’s first recording contains peals, variations on favorite hymns, Irish tunes, classical melodies, and new festive postlude arrangements. It is unique in that other acoustic instruments are combined with the bells for fuller effect. .
