Reinventando el Amor CD
This Spanish-language CD is a result of collaboration by several people whose deep spirituality, love of the church, and passion for social justice is expressed abundantly and performed exquisitely by Jorge Rivera. Listen and you’ll hear the passionate rhythms of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as thoughtfully-composed, rousing texts that challenge and inspire. Deeply rooted in a Vincentian spirituality and in the energy of Hispanic Young Adult Ministry in the U.S., Reinventando el Amor features several outstanding tracks, including No Temas Migrante (a justice anthem for immigrants) and the title track which was used as a theme song for the Summer 2006 Encuentro held at the University of Notre Dame.

Lyrics for "No Temas Migrante";
Estribillo; ¡Migrante! Tu futuro cambiará. / ¡No temas! No te canses de luchar. / ¡Migrante! Lo que fuiste no serás. / ¡No temas! Dios te acompañará. (Text by; Leandro Fossá; Music by; Jesús de León; © 2006, World Library Publications.)
(English translation for reference only)
Migrants and pilgrims, / displaced from their own nations, / struggle for a new life, / seek to overcome. / God is with them. / Migrants are not criminals, / They dream of a new destiny. / Let them earn their bread.
Refrain; Oh Migrant! Your future will change. / Do not be afraid! Do not give up. / Oh Migrant! You will not be what you have been. / Do not be afraid! / Our God will be with you.
We are on every corner, / in the heart of the city, / rejected and discriminated against. / We just want opportunity. / They call us illegals, wetbacks, and much more. / We are not terrorists. / We seek only work, peace, and dignity.
