"On That Holy Mountain" is based on the "Peaceable Kingdom" passage from the book of Isaiah, and is well suited for use during Advent as well as throughout the church year as a general song of praise.  The instrumental part for Chimes (or Glockenspiel) can also be played by a third instrument in C such as a violin.  A light tone is suggested for the choir, and if a children's choir is available, it is especially effective to have them sing the "led by all the children" phrase in the refrain by themselves.

”Milwaukee composer Jeffery Honoré has combined a centuries-old melody --- 'Veni, Emmanuel' --- with the contemporary composition 'On That Holy Mountain.' He accompanies the syncopated 'Holy Mountain' rhythms with an intriguing steady choral pattern, then he adds and interesting echo effect to the 'Veni, Emmanuel' melody. The flutes and handchimes add color to this mixture of old and new Catholic songs. The flute part is added at the end of the handbell/handchime score.” --- Donna Kinsey, handbell teacher and conductor, music educator, and pastoral musician; Pastoral Music, April-May 2006
