These acclamations can be taught to the assembly during Advent and/or Lent without brass, thereby keeping them simple and in tune with the season; they can be used on Christmas and/or Easter, adding the brass, thereby giving them a very festive air.  One general gospel verse has been added to be used on feast days or Sundays other than Christmas or Easter.  Other gospel verses from the Lectionary can be used with the Psalm Tone on page 3.
