This folk-style contemporary piece by Atlanta-based composer Ken Macek is originally from his CD Exiles in Babylon, distributed by WLP (WLP 017250). "Ephphatha" means "be opened," as the refrain states, " that you may proclaim the word you hear to the praise and glory of God." We've included Ken's recording on the enclosed CD. Paul Tate had added gorgeous background vocal parts found on the disc and in the octavo, and WLP's Keith Kalemba has arranged the piano part.
