For those important occasions like dedications or anniversaries (when you have brass players available) this setting will add to the festivity superbly. Paul sets verse 1 for unison voices, verse 2 for 4-part choir and assembly, and verse 3 is arranged for unaccompanied choir. After a key change, the final rousing verse employs unison choir, descant, assembly and all instruments. The brass parts are striking and the vocal parts require only a minimum of rehearsal.
Topic:  Adoration; All Saints; Angels; Church; Closing Hymn; Eternal God; Holy Trinity; Praise; Prophets; Saints; Song; Thanksgiving; Trinity Sunday
Sunday of the Year:  Ordinary Time 26 Year A; Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity
”This is a beautiful big piece, one that marshals large forces and deploys them well. The choir has it pretty easy, as the part-writing sits well in the ranges. The descant on the fourth verse, after an impressive instrumental interlude, is incredibly dramatic. ” --- Joe Pellegrino, Pastoral Music, December-January 2006
