Apprenticed to Christ: Activities for Practicing the Catholic Way of Life
This hands-on method, the Church's preferred approach for the catechumenate, is presented in a systematic, easy-to-use format based on the Liturgy of the Word for Sunday Mass, with activities suggested for each Sunday of the three-year cycle of readings. Recommended catechetical resources including the Catechism of the Catholic Church, conciliar documents, papal encyclicals, liturgical documents, and more help to link each suggested activity with the teaching of the Catholic Church.
A fresh and fruitful approach for those who work with catechumens, candidates, confirmation preparation, and both youth and adult religious formation.

"Very exciting and very needed. The combination of Sunday readings, the apprenticeship activities suggested, and pertinent documents is very helpful. The activities are excellent. It would take a catechumenate director time and creativity to come up with what is already suggested here." — Debby Del Ciello, Director, Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, St. Maria Goretti Parish, Madison, Wisconsin
"As Diocesan Chair of the Christian Initiation Process for the Diocese of Tyler, I have found this book to be valuable for every parish team. The Christian Initiation process has brought about parish renewal within our diocese in just four years time. The initiation and integration of individuals into our Church has been aided by the apprentice ideas in this book. Thank you for making this resource available. We have ordered one as a gift for each of our parish teams." — Linda Khirallah Porter, MTS, Diocese of Tyler, Texas
"I like this book a lot. Every catechumenal team should purchase it. The book conatins a wealth of practical ideas for the type of hands-on, apprenticeship style learning-by-doing that is sorely absent in many catechumenates...The book's greatest strength is in the actual apprenticeship activities described for each Sunday...a team which has this book in hand will be challenged to engage catechumens and candidates not only at the head and heart levels but at the (just as important) hand and foot levels." — Steve Lanza, Pastor, St. Julie Billiart Parish in Tinley Park, IL, and FORUM Team Member.
