Rev. Richard N. Fragomeni
Richard N. Fragomeni, a priest of the diocese of Albany, New York, is associate professor of liturgy and homiletics and chair of the Department of Word and Worship at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. He has written widely on topics of liturgy, music, symbolism, the Catechumenate, the Eucharist, and liturgies with children, among other subjects. His newest book, In Shining Splendor, presents fifty Eastertime meditations on the Exsultet, accompanied by art by Jane Pitz and a CD of reflective Easter music. He has collaborated with Brother Michael O'Neill McGrath, OSFS, on two books: Blessed Art Thou: Mother, Lady, Mystic, Queen and At the Name of Jesus: The Way, TheTruth, The Life (both of which have won Catholic Press Association Awards). In addition to his teaching, preaching, and writing duties, Father Fragomeni serves as spiritual director at the Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii, an Italian-American spiritual center in Chicago's Little Italy.
