Ronald J. Rendek

Ron Rendek has been on the music editorial staff at World Library Publications since 1993. During this time he has been actively involved in the many aspects of publishing and recording. He is one of the editors for the various WLP octavo series and is also project director for World Library's expanding CD catalog. His ongoing article and review of new WLP recordings, Publications of Note!, is a regular feature in AIM: Liturgy Resources magazine, World Library's quarterly liturgy journal.

Ron received his musical training at the Chicago Conservatory College and Arizona State University. Some of his teachers include Thomas Binkley - Lute and early music; Richard Pick - Classical Guitar; Joe Daley - Jazz Studies; Randall Shinn - Composition.

Ron has been active locally as a performer and composer. He also serves as the music director for St. Maria Goretti Church in Schiller Park, IL. He has several compositions and arrangements published with World Library in addition to two recordings for solo classical guitar: Come, Emmanuel - Advent and Christmas Hymns; and We Gather Together - arrangements of traditional hymns with new works for solo guitar. Ron lives in the Chicago suburbs with his wife, Carole Anne, and their two sons, Rudy and Zachary.
